Lat Pulldown
Stability through the low back, and lumbar spine allows for maintaining your posture throughout your swing, and allows a transfer of power from the lower body to the upper body and arms
Starting position:
In a seated position, with the cables above, and slightly in front of your torso, arms should be able to be fully extended. Hand position outside of shoulders.
Movement:
Start the pulling motion by retracting the shoulder blades, then continue to retract the shoulders as you pull the elbows to the sides of your rib cage while allowing the bar or handles to stay in FRONT of the head. Maintain neutral spine and upright posture, and keep shoulders retracted throughout movement. Return to start position.
Notes: lower body position may vary, kneeling, half kneeling, handles and grip may also vary
