Plank Bag Drag

Potentially the most important muscle group, the core is composed of all the muscle from hips to shoulders. It effects full body movements as well as maintaining posture throughout movements. The core effects the transfer of energy from the lower to upper body. A strong core improves all aspects of golf from maintaining posture to increasing club head speed as well as helps prevent injuries

Starting position:

Begin in a tradition plank position, elbow or hands. With a sand bag or weight beside you.

Movement:

Maintaining a perfect plank throughout the movement, reach underneath you with the arm away from the bag, grab the handle of the bag, and SLOWLY drag the bag underneath your body, as far to the other side as possible. Do not allow the body to move at all other than the pulling arm.

Notes: The bag weight may vary, and the slower the movement, the more advanced. Various floors may also change resistance. Rubber, carpet or turf more advance.
