Quadraped Leg Extensions

Potentially the most important muscle group, the core is composed of all the muscle from hips to shoulders. It effects full body movements as well as maintaining posture throughout movements. The core effects the transfer of energy from the lower to upper body. A strong core improves all aspects of golf from maintaining posture to increasing club head speed as well as helps prevent injuries

Starting position:

Starting in a quadruped position. Hands directly under shoulders, and knees directly under hips. Toes pulled up towards your shins.

Movement:

Brace your abdominals to maintain a neutral spine position throughout the entire movement. Keeping to toe pulled up to the shin, squeeze one glute to extend the leg straight back as if to push something away from you. Your hips and shoulders stay level, and back should not arch.

Notes: Hold time in each position may vary. Only go in each direction to a comfortable stretch, not pain.
