Rip Trainer
Power is an optimal combination of mobility, stability, strength and speed. Without each component, comes an increase chance of injury. With all four working, explosive club head speed and distance can be achieved..
Starting Position:
Using a TRX Rip Trainer, start in an athletic position. Create as much tension as you feel comfortable with, but make sure there is at least no slack in the cable. The hand closest to the handle will be palm down, and the opposite hand, furthest from handle, will be palm upwards.
Movement:
Using your full body, the goal is to replicate a hockey “slap shot”. Focus on firing the hips to an impact position. Hold the finish for a split second to emulate the finish of a golf swing. Retract slowly and start movement again…
