Single Leg Deadlift
The most dominant muscle group in the golf swing, the glutes, are the powerhouse of hip strength and rotational power. The glutes have several functions throughout the swing. Stability of the hips, limiting lateral movement maintaining posture through the swing, and creating both rotational, and vertical power through impact
Starting position:
Starting in single standing position, holding weight in the opposite hand as the leg on the ground. Body straight from head, to down heel, neutral spine. Hips and shoulders level to ground.
Movement:
Maintaining a neutral spine, and level hips and shoulders throughout the movement, start by hinging at the hip and a slight bend at the standing knee. The lifted leg staying in line with the torso through at least the knee. Tap the weight to the floor, or as low you can maintain spine posture. And return to the starting position.
Notes: can also be done holding 2 weights, or weight in same hand
