Torso Elevated – Single Leg Bridge – On Bosu

The most dominant muscle group in the golf swing, the glutes, are the powerhouse of hip strength and rotational power. The glutes have several functions throughout the swing. Stability of the hips, limiting lateral movement maintaining posture through the swing, and creating both rotational, and vertical power through impact

Starting position:

Torso elevated on a stable bench, knees bent at 90 degrees, with directly on top of a Bosu ball. Raise one leg, creating a 90 degree angle at the hip and the knee, so only one foot is directly on the top of the Bosu ball

Movement:

Hinging only from the down hip, lower your hips to the ground, maintaining 90 degree angles with the elevated hip and knee. Maintain a neutral spine from pelvis to the top of the head.
As the hips go down, the head elevates of the bench, as the hips raise, the head drops back.

Notes: Support head with hands if headed to maintain a neutral cervical spine. ALL movement comes from down hip.
