Traps help maintain thoracic spine posture for optimal rotation

Starting position:

Grabbing a straight bar with your palms facing towards your thighs, make sure you have a slight bend in your elbows.

 

Movement:

Using your side shoulders, raise the bar till it nearly fits underneath your chin. Make sure your elbows stay higher than your forearms to ensure our traps are staying activated

Finish position:

Hold the bar directly under your chin for 1 complete second, breathe in while lowering the bar and return to starting position
