Dumbbell Shrug

Traps help maintain thoracic spine posture for optimal rotation

Starting position:

Stand upright with a dumbbell in both hands, arms extended and palms facing inwards.

Movement:

Lift the dumbbells using your shoulders as high as you can go. The arms must stay extended at all times to ensure that the traps or supporting the weight Breathe out while raising

Finish position:

Hold the shoulders up and contract for one second, breathe in and lower the shoulders while the arms stay extended.
