Dumbbell Upright Rows

Traps help maintain thoracic spine posture for optimal rotation

Starting position:

Holding dumbbells with both hands, make sure elbows have a slight bend and palms should be facing the thighs

Movement:

Use your shoulders to raise the dumbbells. Make sure your elbows stay higher than your forearms. Exhale while contracting the shoulders

Finish position:

The dumbbells should come to rest in front of your chest while a couple inches below your chin. Hold for one second. Breathe in and lower the dumbbells back to starting position
