Macros and The Carnivore Diet
Macros and The Carnivore Diet
“Macros” What are macros? Macronutrients are carbs, fats, and proteins. Since we are carnivores, we don’t include carbs. The standard for carnivores is a 50/50 mix, which means if you are starting out as a carnivore, your goal is to have 200 plus grams of protein, and 200 plus grams of fat. For women, the goal is 150 and 150. These are not hard stops, somedays you will need much more, some days you will not. Me personally, I am around 300 grams a day if not more… Use this as a baseline. Start here, and if you feel yourself lacking energy, or tire more, then eat more fats, since thats where we get our energy from. This is just a baseline and a goof place to start, but ultimately we leave it up to you and how you feel!
