Plate Twist

Abs Plural, a series of muscles also known as “The core” from hips to shoulders. The abs and core allow movement through parts of the body while stabilizing and minimizing movements to others. This benefits ideal alignment and spine posture throughout the swing, while also giving the ability to transfer power from the lower body, through the midsection, and into the arms and club

Starting position:

With your knees slightly bent, feet off the ground, hold a desired weighted plate three inches from your chest

Movement:

Contract the abs, and slowly twist from side to side. Make sure to keep proper balance and don’t let your feet hit the ground

Finish position:

Since this movement is continuous, once you max out your twist to either side, contract the abs, hold for one second, then slowly twist to the opposite side and repeat the process.
