Standing Calf Raise

Calve flexibility and strength allow for stability of the ankle, as well as the initial force production into the ground to generate power upward through the legs

Starting position:

Stand tall in the machine, legs fully extended. Stand on your toes on the platform. Make sure your heals are not on the platform.

Movement:

Push down on your toes and raise your heals upwards. The legs stay straight the whole time and toes never come off the platform.

Finish position:

Your heals should be fully raised and able to go any higher. Hold and contract the calves. Lower yourself slowly back to starting position
