#4 Secondary Tilt
Get 10x the efficiency on your angle of attack and unleash 100% Power Kinetics.
“Secondary Tilt” may be a new term for you. But in my opinion, it’s probably the most important factor in hitting super long drives.
First, let’s talk about “primary tilt.” Primary tilt is the angle of your shoulders at address. We want to stay as level as possible at address, but because your trail hand is lower on the club, your trail shoulder will be lower than your leading shoulder.
Secondary tilt occurs during your downswing. Its a subtle, intentional move that puts your body in position for a lightning fast, from-the-inside, “shallow” delivery of the clubhead to the ball. Here’s how it works:
● A split second after the start of your downswing, lower your right shoulder
so that it increases the angle of your shoulders relative to the ground.
Don’t worry if this sounds complicated, the video will make it simple and clear.
● Now your body is in the position for a full 100% use of essential Power Kinetics
NOTE: The better your “forward bend shift” is on the backswing, the easier it will be to execute the Secondary Tilt on the downswing.
