Hitting a Fade For Intermediates
An important skill for the advanced player to learn is how to start the ball on the correct line and create the proper amount of curve to have the ball finish at the target.
Two important tips to learn to control fades.
- The club face must be slightly closed of target
- The swing path must be swing far enough across the face to create the amount of curve needed to finish at target.
Remember – face sends it, path bends it
Set up with club slightly closed, then open the stance and swing along the line the body.
This will result in learning to start the ball on the proper li e and have the ball curve back to target.
