Welcome To The Rough

It’s important to learn to inspect the lie and figure out the severity of the lie.

Two important things when in the rough.

1. When in doubt, use more loft. Choose the club that will cut through the grass and allow you to escape the thick grass.
2. Play the ball a little back towards the center of the stance. This will allow the player to make a descending blow into the rough and allow less grass to get between the club and the ball.

Remember, when in doubt use more loft. Safety first. When the ball lies in the rough, the next shot should get into the fairway
